[History Hounds Off the Leash] Gangsters? Up North? with Robert Knapp, University of California—Berkeley
Like anyone else, gangsters of the 1920s and 1930s liked to get away from it all. Sometimes their trips to Northern Michigan involved gambling, bootlegging, and kidnapping. At other times, they only sought rest and relaxation. Come learn about the mobsters from Detroit, Chicago, and Toledo who headed up north.
