"Happiness doesn’t come from what we get, but from what we give."

Looking for a thoughtful hostess gift, a keepsake from your trip or a unique birthday surprise? Why not consider the many delightful options available through the Museum Store? We have curated an impressive set of regional specialties, handmade crafts, and intriguing books about the fascinating history of this area.

Your gift purchase will actually give twice: once to delight and impress the person to whom you give it, and a second time as it provides financial support to the Museum.

Store Highlight

For some, cooler temperatures and approaching holidays are just the inspiration needed to start baking, filling our homes with the smell of cookies, cakes, pies, and more. For the baker or junior baker in your family, kick off this holiday baking season with a new apron. Available in adult and child sizes, these brightly colored aprons are embroidered with charming phrases, reflecting the joy you feel when baking for or with loved ones.

Just because stores started stocking Christmas goodies the day before Halloween, doesn’t mean you have to put your fall decorations away yet. In fact, with the Halloween decorations put away, you have more room to add fall or Thanksgiving decorations. We have coasters, centerpieces, and Chunkies.

Here are just a few of unique Michigan made items you can find in our Museum Store, located at 330 N. State Street:

  • local history and children’s books

  • one-of-a-kind jewelry

  • garden decor

  • hand-crafted soaps and lotions

  • replicas of portraits in the McKenney & Hall Collection
