"Happiness doesn’t come from what we get, but from what we give."

Looking for a thoughtful hostess gift, a keepsake from your trip or a unique birthday surprise? Why not consider the many delightful options available through the Museum Store? We have curated an impressive set of regional specialties, handmade crafts, and intriguing books about the fascinating history of this area.

Your gift purchase will actually give twice: once to delight and impress the person to whom you give it, and a second time as it provides financial support to the Museum.

Store Highlight

This month, we are introducing a new artist from Ridens Mishimikinaak Studios to the store. Preferring to remain unnamed, this artist has a great love for the UP and Michigan as a whole. His admiration is evident in these charming charcuterie boards and revolving trays burned with the artist’s motto for the Straits of Mackinac: “Where the Great Meet: Lakes, Land, and People.”

Here are just a few of unique Michigan made items you can find in our Museum Store, located at 330 N. State Street:

  • local history and children’s books

  • one-of-a-kind jewelry

  • garden decor

  • hand-crafted soaps and lotions

  • replicas of portraits in the McKenney & Hall Collection
