History Hounds Lecture Series | Documenting Racism: The Jim Crow Museum

[History Hounds Off the Leash] Documenting Racism: The Jim Crow Museum with with Jennifer Rose Hasso and Cyndi Tiedt, Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia.

Join us as we tour the Jim Crow Museum to explore the history of anti-black caricatures, propaganda, and rhetoric. Jim Crow laws and customs demeaned and oppressed African Americans in ways that still affect our nation, but the museum opens dialogues about discriminatory history to promote social and racial justice.

We'd like to thank the Historical Society of Michigan (HSM), which supports local history organizations, like us! They are continuing to make their History Hounds Lecture Series available online for free to members of HSM’s member organizations. Register for this remote presentation by 3:00pm the previous day.
