History Hounds Series | The Black Hat Regiment: The 24th Michigan of the Iron Brigade

[History Hounds] The Black Hat Regiment: The 24th Michigan of the Iron Brigade with Gary Rembisz, Author.

When the 24th Michigan Infantry joined the elite “Iron Brigade” in 1862, its veterans scorned the newcomers. The Detroiters, however, won acceptance at the Battle of Fredericksburg. At Gettysburg, they suffered 80% casualties but made the Union victory possible. Join us to learn about this legendary Civil War regiment.
