[History Hounds] Packard Proving Grounds: Testing America’s Luxury Car with Roger M. Luksik, Packard Motor Car Foundation
Since the Packard Proving Grounds (PPG) opened on June 14, 1928, the property has been the site of numerous “world’s first” records. The PPG, designed by Albert Kahn, was created to research, test, and develop the country’s most popular luxury car. This presentation will not only discuss the history of the important site but also cover the acquisition and preservation efforts of the Packard Motor Car Foundation to save the PPG from demolition.
