Delphine T Ren-Miller will be presenting a talk on the history of quilt making in the United States. As a quilter with 40 years of experience making quilts and having studied quilts, quilt making techniques, fabric and batting, Delphine brings a unique perspective to the art. She will bring a collection of quilts from the late 1800's up to the present day to show changes in fabric and technique over the years. While not a professional quilt appraiser she has knowledge on dating prints and style to help determine the age of a quilt. She looks forward to the quilt show that will be presented by the Historical Society so that she can interact with the quilt makers and owners and, perhaps help with some detective work. Her love of quilting is now being passed on to customers through her store, Delphine's Quilt Shop, LC of Gaylord.
