A self-trained artist, Rick has been blowing glass since building his first studio in a log cabin in Paradise in 1989. His work is informed by his fascination with the fluidity of his molten material, translating into form and function. He has sold his work in galleries and at art fairs throughout Michigan and parts of Wisconsin.
Rick’s presentation will combine a brief historical review of glassblowing with details of the process and his personal experience as a craftsperson. He will bring examples of his work and happily answer questions.
