[History Hounds] Power and Greed: The Republican Home Front vs. Frank McKay with Jon VanderPloeg, Hilger Hammond, PC
Frank McKay was born in Grand Rapids and excelled in business and politics. From the 1920s-50s, he dominated West Michigan and state politics. His aggressive methods involved a ground level takeover of the Republican Party, coupled with rewards, threats, intimidation, and even violence to further his goals. He met his end in Michigan and Grand Rapids through the tireless work of two reform groups.
