[History Hounds} To Our Country and To Its Flag: Lansing and the Civil War with Matthew J. VanAcker, Michigan State Capitol
More than 500 soldiers from Michigan’s capital city enlisted to fight in the Civil War. Many of those boys became casualties, and those who returned to Lansing came home as maimed, and often haunted, men. Discover their stories of uncommon valor and that of the city they left behind.
