Scissors have been around for a long time. Some experts date them all the way back to 1500 B.C.! So while this metal scissors may seem old to us, it is (relatively speaking) a fairly modern example of the tool! It's made of metal, with very long blades. Our best guess is that this might have been used for sewing, or for work that did not require a high rate of cutting precision.
