In September 1864, Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest took 4,500 rebel cavalrymen on a raid to cut General Sherman’s two railroad supply lines to Atlanta. Join us to learn about Forrest’s encounter with the 18th Michigan Infantry, and the disastrous outcome of the Michigan regiment’s one and only major battle.
