George T. Arnold formed the Arnold Transit Company and operated passenger ferries to Mackinac Island for 138 years. The Brown family purchased Arnold Transit in 1946, and sold it in 2010 to James Wynn. Star Line bought it from him in 2016 and closed down the Arnold Transit passenger ferry business. Now they only move freight under this brand. The Browns donated this beautiful four-foot model of the ferry boat Algomah to the museum to honor their family business and preserve the name.
